A dimension is a structure that categorizes and describes data in a business process to enable easy access and analysis in Dimensional Modeling.

Dimensions are essentially the descriptive attributes associated with the data, such as time, location, or product details. Dimensions are linked from Fact Table through Foreign Keys.
